Rest in Peace.
I think it's time I wrote something about this in my blog. My online art project, SeeCandyBleed, has been taken down for personal reasons.
You know, it's really breaking my heart. That site had been up for at least eight months, if not more. It seems dumb to be upset over something like this, but I am.
There were hundreds of images and two videos. I coded everything from scratch- just me and notepad. No template, no dreamweaver. I must have put hundreds of hours into that site. It was reviewed positively on Jane's Guide, mentioned on Fleshbot, and even had a published artist's statement in NYArts Magazine.
Here's to you, SeeCandyBleed.

Sorry to hear that. That really sucks.
Why did you have to take it down?
Sorry to hear that but I always thought it would be easier for you to have just one blog/website. I like how this blog is broading its focus. Nothing stopping you from talking about menstruation or anything else on your mind.

anon: it was taken down for personal reasons.
regi: I'm not sure you get it. This is a blog with photos. That was an art project that happened to have a blog. They were two very seperate and different things.
Candy--so very sorry. I loved that site. Your work is so impressive. That site made me want to get up and shout. Oy. I bet it does sting.
SeeCandyBleed was never really my cup of tea, but it's a shame that it's gone the way of the dodo. Perhaps it shall return someday?
So sorry to hear that, Candy, though it wasn't precisely my cup o' tea. It's too bad people feel such need to censor themselves or to censure others. I will miss any part of you that is taken away.
Love the new digs, btw.
Thanks for the support, everyone. A return is possible, but not any time in the near future.
